1.) The Eiffel Tower
Millions of visitors are drawn to the incredible vision of the Eiffel Tower each year; it is the hallmark of Paris. The majestic creation from metal and man’s creative design is one of the most recognizable monuments in the entire world and has to be seen in person to be appreciated.

2.) The Louvre Museum
Perhaps the most famous museum in the world and home to Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Louvre is a grand exhibit of the world’s most cherished works of art. The museum is free to the pubic on Sundays but the line can be enormous. There’s also a shopping mall located below the museum where artistic trinkets and treasures can be found.

3.) Notre Dame Cathedral
One of the most famous cathedrals in the world, the Cathedrale de Notre Dame de Paris is an example of gothic style and ambiance to the extreme. As the inspiration for Victor Hugo’s masterpiece, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” it’s easy to see how the writer could have imbued such imagery into his novel.

4.) Père-Lachaise Cemetery
This gothic cemetery is final resting place of some of Europe’s most famous and notorious people, and a must see on their Paris Vacations. The tombs of Oscar Wilde, Honoré de Balzac and Jim Morrison are three of the most visited tombs – with thousands of visitors yearly.

5.) Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe is another one of the most recognizable monuments in the world and features the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and its accompanying Eternal Flame. The view from atop the Arc de Triomphe is one of the most stellar in all of Paris.

6.) Musee d’Orsay
The Musee d’Orsay is the second most popular museum in Paris and it features a massive display of French art from 1848 to 1914. Constructed from a former railway station and ideally located next to the Seine River, the Musee d’Orsay is a must-see for all lovers of art.
